The Human Factors Research Group (HFRG) has a reputation as a world-leading group in human factors and the team has expertise in ergonomics, psychology, engineering, computing and management for their transport and other industry relevant projects. Established in 1986, the focus of the HFRG is to understand the characteristics and capabilities of people individually, in teams, and in their interactions with other complex systems.
UNott has a track record of successful specification, design and evaluation of innovative multi-modal personalised systems and devices and its unique strengths complement the partner institutions' strengths and merits.
Role in the project
With expertise in user requirements and evaluation methodologies and metrics, UNott will be leading Work Package (WP)7 “evaluation of the PASSME system”. UNott will closely collaborate with partner institutions in User Requirements elicitation and in the PASSME Model development (WP1), in the design and evaluation of the PASSME personalised device (WP2), in the passenger experience acquisition for the O2D baggage system (WP3), in the interface requirements and behaviour models (WP4), in Design models and pre-testing solutions (WP5), in user groups identification and meetings (WP6). They will also collaborate with all partners in communication and dissemination activities (WP8). Furthermore, UNott will be collaborating with Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) in managing the Ethics and Security domain of the PASSME system (WP9).
